In person at the lab

Bring Us the AI That Is Not Working

Something you already own stopped doing what it did, or never did it. Bring it to 405 Jessen Ln and a Charleston engineer fixes it sitting next to you — on your laptop, in your accounts. You leave with it working.

Every appointment is private. You always pay after. Always face-to-face — never Zoom.

You do not need to be a business. Most people who bring us something broken are individuals — one account, one thing that will not work. No company, no technical background and no prior AI experience required, and no minimum. If you have ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok — or Copilot, or anything else with AI in it — and it is misbehaving, that is enough. We are vendor-agnostic and we work on all of it.
What we fix

If any of this sounds like your week

These are the ten things people actually walk in with. Yours does not have to be on the list — bring it anyway.

A connector will not authorize

It asks you to sign in, loops, and lands back where it started — or it connected once and quietly stopped. Usually a permissions scope, an expired token, or an account that is not the one you think it is.

A plugin or skill fails silently

No error, no result. It says it did the thing and nothing happened. Almost always the call is failing somewhere you cannot see.

A scheduled task stopped firing

It ran for a week and then went quiet, or it runs but sends nothing. Schedules, time zones, and the account the task runs as are the usual culprits.

An MCP server will not connect

The client cannot see it, or sees it and lists no tools. Transport, path, permissions, or a config file with one wrong line.

Custom instructions or memory will not stick

You told it how to behave and it forgets, or it remembers the wrong thing and will not let go. Fixable, and not the way most people try.

An API key or webhook nobody can explain

Something is asking you for a key, or a webhook fires into the void. Bring the screen you are stuck on.

A custom GPT or project ignores its instructions

It behaves in the chat you built it in and nowhere else, or it drifts after a few turns.

An automation half-runs

Two of the four steps happen. The data arrives somewhere, but not where you wanted it, or not in a shape anything can use.

A prompt template breaks on real input

Perfect on the example, wrong on the actual file, the long one, or the one with the weird characters in it.

Two tools that will not talk

The integration exists, the data still does not move — or it moves and arrives mangled.

How a repair goes

One hour, in one room

Book, free

Under a minute at /book/, or call (843) 284-8239. No diagnostic fee.

Bring the broken thing exactly as it is

Do not tidy it up first — the mess is the evidence. Bring the laptop or phone it runs on and be able to sign in. Never bring a written-down password; you sign in yourself.

We find it together

An engineer works beside you, on your screen, narrating what is actually wrong. You are not handing over a device and waiting.

You leave with it working

And knowing why it broke, so the next one is yours to fix. If it truly cannot be fixed, we say so quickly and show you what would work instead.

Pay after

$160 per hour for repair, billed for the time actually spent. Never before. Prefer to learn to do it yourself while we work? Say so when you book and we run the hour as a $60 session instead.

Questions

Before you come in

Can you fix my AI if I am not a business?

Yes. Most people who bring us something broken are individuals, not companies. You do not need a business, a technical background, or any prior AI experience, and there is no minimum. If you have an account with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or Grok and something is not working, that is enough.

What does AI repair cost in Charleston?

Repair is Professional Services at $160 per hour, billed after the work is done — never before, and never a deposit. There is no diagnostic fee and no minimum engagement; you pay for the time actually spent. If you would rather learn to fix it yourself while we work, that is a $60 per hour Educational session instead — say so when you book and we will run the hour that way.

Can you fix it remotely or over a screen share?

No. Every appointment is face to face at 405 Jessen Ln, Suite E in Charleston. There is no Zoom, no screen share and no phone support. You sit next to the engineer and we work on your laptop, in your accounts, so you leave understanding what was wrong. We serve the Charleston metro only.

What should I bring?

The laptop or phone the thing runs on, and the ability to sign in to the accounts involved. Bring the broken thing exactly as it is — do not tidy it up first. If you have error messages, screenshots, or a config file, bring those too. Never bring us a password written down; you sign in yourself.

What if it cannot be fixed?

Sometimes the answer is that a tool genuinely cannot do what you want, or the vendor broke it and only they can unbreak it. We will tell you that plainly and quickly rather than billing you to discover it slowly, and we will show you what would work instead. You pay for the time we spent, and that is all.

How fast can I get in?

Usually within a day or two. Book at https://ai-chs.com/book/ — we propose a time, you add your name and email, and it takes under a minute. Or call (843) 284-8239.
